Define a Guardian
UK boarding schools require all international students to have a guardian who is permanently residing in the UK.
While the school takes responsibility for your child during term time, there are several occasions — such as exeat weekends, mid-term breaks, school holidays, or times when your child is unwell — when a guardian steps in to provide care and support.
Studying abroad marks the beginning of an exciting and life-changing journey. A guardian plays a key role in this experience — offering a secure and reliable presence throughout your child's time in the UK. They help students enjoy the freedom, growth, and opportunity that come with living overseas, while ensuring their safety and wellbeing are never compromised.
A guardian provides reassurance, consistency, and peace of mind — for both students and their families.
